Can You Add Dog Dental Powder to Wet Food? What to Check First

Dental powder can be mixed more evenly into moist food than it can be sprinkled over a dry surface, but the product label remains the first source of instructions. Use the included scoop, select the amount shown for your dog's weight and mix it through the normal meal.

Keep the meal familiar

Do not change the food, topper and dental product on the same day. Keeping the base meal familiar makes it easier to see whether your dog accepts the new addition. Mix the powder thoroughly so that one mouthful does not contain most of it.

VOLUNGE's supplied product image demonstrates sprinkling the powder over food. Its weight guide shows 1–2 scoops under 11 lb, 2–3 scoops for 11–22 lb and 3–4 scoops over 22 lb. Check the package in your hand before serving. The full dog dental powder instructions explain these ranges.

Watch the bowl, not just the clock

Confirm that your dog finishes the usual amount and does not develop vomiting, diarrhea, itching or another unexpected change. A dog on a prescription diet, elimination diet or treatment plan may need veterinary guidance before any flavored supplement is added.
